Poor decisions. We’ve all made them. What happens when we find ourselves making them over and over again? In this Dear Chela episode, I address what’s really going on with compulsive and destructive behaviour, the states we find ourselves in and the bigger cultural picture around the work we really need to be doing. Watch below.
What do you think? Have you ever struggled with compulsion or addiction? What did you do to bring yourself out of that loop? This tender topic is so close to so many and yet there’s often shame around talking about it. I’d love to invite some supportive dialogue, read your feedback and shine some more light on this. This was such a helpful video, thankyou. I wonder if you could recommend any further resources on the topic?
This is so on point. I compulsively eat to distract, procrastination, or to feel – full. Sometimes I let myself do it without guilt, other times, I know that I know better and will find better ways to sit with it – write, go for a walk or jog, call a friend, make a cup of tea…
I love your articulation on these subjects.
Thank you!
